I'm not really an animal person. It's not that I hate animals or anything, I just don't really feel the need to surround myself with critters. Yet for some reason, most of the people around me seem to be severely attached to them. I'm not really in a position to comment on the tastes of the people around me. As for the animals, I usually just leave them to their own devices.
The strange thing is most of these animals tend to develop strong attachments to me. For the life of me, I can't understand why. I leave them alone, only deal with them on the rare occasions and yet they all get attached to me. The two most recent examples was a friend's pet chihuahua who always found some way to spend a good portion of the day either asleep in my bedcovers or trying to find some other way to be near me, and my sister's pet ferret who after a long while has deemed me worthy not only of some of her time each day, but also of being her personal mountain and hiking path.
I always thought you had to work to get on an animal's good side. And if you didn't feed it and left it alone, it wouldn't bother you, or get imprinted on you. So, I'm left to wonder how is this happening??
Maybe they're auditioning for the role of your familiar? They must sense great power within you!
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome!!! I'd always believed that if I had a familiar it'd be a dragon, though.
