Thoughts On... This Blog's Name

For a little while now, I've been getting some weird feedback about my blog. Not about the content, but about the name. Yeah, the NAME! Seriously, why is the name of a blog important?? Who really cares about what some nerd names his blog anyway, right? Well, as it turns out, some of my readers care. Which is, in a weird way, very touching. Not only do I have readers, but they care enough about the blog to actually want to make it BETTER! *sniff* I promised myself I wouldn't cry. *sniff, sniff* Now, the reason I called this blog "Deliberations of Dilking" is because Dilking is a shortened version of my middle name, Dilkingson. (Don't ask. It's a long story.) However, it turns out that "dilking" is an actual term with a particularly negative meaning according to the Urban Dictionary. Check it out:

A New Look...

Well, my dear readers, I'm sure you've noticed that my blog looks a little different. For some time now, I've been getting reports that the previous template was difficult (and sometimes painful) to read. After getting over my compulsive resistance to change, I decided that it would be a good idea to update the look of my blog and I took the chance to make my posts a bit easier to read.

After all, the whole point is to get more of you to actually READ the crap... er, stuff... I put up here. So, I brought it to a point where I get the best of both worlds. The site is easier to read, and yet not all bright and fluffy which goes against my personality. So, here it is. Tell me what you think. Sound off in the comments below!

Insane in The Brain

From a new blog I'm following, Sagan's Brain. And here I was thinking that bungee jumpers were insane. That's NOTHING compared to what THIS guy is trying to do.

According to the post, a Felix Baumgartner, is planning on jumping out of a balloon. Sounds like nothing, right? Here's the trick:

The balloon is 23 MILES ABOVE THE EARTH'S SURFACE!!!

Here's the link to the post on the space jump which also includes a CNN video clip.
